Cacık (Tzatziki)

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Turkish yogurt
- 1/2 English cucumber, grated and excess moisture squeezed out
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the Turkish yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped mint, olive oil, and lemon juice.

Stir the mixture until well combined.

Season the cacık with salt and black pepper, adjusting to taste.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the cacık for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Before serving, give the cacık a final stir. If desired, garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprig of fresh dill or mint.

Serve the cacık chilled as a refreshing dip or sauce alongside grilled meats, kebabs, or as a dip for bread and vegetables.
